About Me

At Cairn, I work with leaders who want to become the authors of their lives, not just their best performers. You've spent the first half winning: the career, the company, the life everyone assumes is fine. Now you want to choose your next game, and play it whole. The trouble is that the old way of winning doesn't stop on its own. The Machine taught you to run yourself like equipment, with unmet needs, no rest, and no one inside the armor, and for years you've been spending your self as fuel. Now you're at a crossroads, with no clear way to decide and no room on the calendar to think. It's exhausting, and beneath the exhaustion is a quieter fear: that if you slow down, everything you've been outrunning will finally catch up. I believe no one should have to choose between being effective and being whole. I know this place because I've stood in it. I spent thirty years in tech, won the first game, and found it didn't hold. Learning to perform another way, less like rowing against the current and more like sailing with it, changed my life. It's the heart of my work.

That's why I built The Cairn Path.

Over the past eight years, with hundreds of clients and thousands of hours on the trail alongside them, I've learned that leaders at this turn need two things held together: the structure to build what's next, and the depth and meaning of why it matters. Here, you get both in one partnership.

Here's how it works. We start with a conversation about where you are. Together, we design your next game: your aims, your values, your rhythm, your first moves. Then we play it, week by week, until natural performance becomes second nature. So start a conversation, and you can stop running on yourself as fuel and start building a second half that's effective, meaningful, and your own: steady as a stone the current moves around. Like the cairns left by those who walked before you, the way is marked. You don't have to find it alone
